can apple ipod cripple the psp ?
psp strong out the gate ,less so in the long run:

With launch titles like Lumines, Metal Gear Acid, and Ridge Racer, the PSP hit the track at full speed, entering the race against the Nintendo DS with well received reviews. Its large screen and ability to play movies copied to Sony's memory sticks gave it media features that were far beyond the Nintendo DS.Facing a strong line-up of competing titles, and offering little more than tech demonstrations at launch, the Nintendo DS found itself facing a system that could play music, play movies, and play games, all brilliantly well.Sony was on its way to having a hit system.But then something happened. The line-up of great games for the PSP began to fade. What was once a field rich with possibility and upcoming releases became dry and baron. Reports from E3 2005 about the PSP's weak showing and lack of exciting titles in development left the gaming community generally disappointed. Of the 15 titles released for the Sony PSP in the six months leading up to December of 2005, only four received a meta-review average of above 79 percent on GameRankings.com.Only 26% of recent releases on the PSP are better than C-level experiences.In contrast, 55% of the titles released (10 out of 18) for the Nintendo DS in that same time period scored a B or better, with two titles breaking into the 90% range.It started strong, but the PSP had entered a drought
